My name is Maggie Melvin and I’m a junior from Charlotte. I grew up with my mom, dad and older brother, Charles. We have two cats, Smokey and Tenni, and a dog named Rex. I live in a house in Boone with my roommate Beth, and I have my own kitten named Grady. He loves to read.
I am in a sorority (Kappa Delta), and I have made the best friends. This is a picture of Alana, me, and Emily on New Years in Richmond, Virginia.
I love traveling; I have been to Chile, Ireland, Scotland, Tanzania and Thailand. This is a picture of me hugging some of my kindergartners that I taught English to in Chiang Mai, Thailand this past summer.
Some of my other interests are: Kappa Delta, spending time with my friends, the environment, Africa, Thailand, kids, my family, traveling, volunteering, listening to stories, exploring the mountains, going on adventures, singing, cats, driving, reading, working out, playing sports, lacrosse, and hiking.

The picture of your cat in your bookshelf made me laugh out loud! haha. How amazing that you have traveled so much! Did you teach in all of those countries or just visit for vacation? Either way, I am jealous and hope to one day have a list of countries I have been to! I enjoyed (sort of) getting to know you and look forward to being in block together!
